The Abacus Animal House
Classic is an 18-hole, stroke-play, net scoring tournament with
an added twist. During the round, players collect "animals" for various
miscues or visits into hazards. After the round, the 4 players with
the smallest "Zoo ratio" (number of animals divided by handicap
index) are invited to play a 4 hole putt-off on the practice
putting green for a $30 Carl's Golfland gift card.
The 5 animals include:
Gorilla - ball hit out of bounds
Camel - ball hit into a sand trap
Bear - lost ball or unplayable lie
Frog - ball hit into a water hazard
Snake - 3-putt green
Abacus Service
Corporation is sponsoring the 2012 Animal
House Classic. There will be a challenge prize for
closest-to-the-pin on each par-3 and a dinner after the
tournament.
Salem Hills Golf Club has been the host course since 2004. Get there early - the range balls are complimentary!!
