The Animal House Classic
is an 18-hole, stroke-play, net
scoring tournament with an added
twist. During the
round, players collect "animals"
for various miscues or visits into
hazards. After the round, the 4
players with the smallest "Zoo
ratio" (number of animals divided
by their handicap index) are
invited to play a 4 hole putt-off
on the practice putting green with
the winner receiving a $30 gift
card. The other 3
players will receive a $10 gift
card.
The 5 animals include:
Gorilla - ball hit out of bounds
Camel - ball hit into a sand trap
Bear - lost ball or unplayable lie
Frog - ball hit into a water
hazard
Snake - 3-putt green
Salem Hills Golf Club has been
the host course since 2004.
