How the World Ranking works
Players score points after completing every
tournament. The number of points is equal to 100 divided by their
placement (i.e. 100 points for 1st place, 50 points for 2nd, 33.3 points
for 3rd, etc.). Major tournaments award 250 points divided by the
placement.
The points are averaged over the number of tournaments
played during the last 2 years.
(For any player with less than 14 events played, the
player's average is still made using 14)
